Gaited Morgan Horse |
|
hallo!
auf meiner suche nach dem passenden neuen familienmitglied habe ich heute einen gaited morgan horse breeder angeschrieben - ich dachte ich setze die antwort ins forum, vielleicht interessiert es ja jemanden
Zitat: |
.... You do not want a Gaited Morgan which paces. The typical gaits of the Gaited Morgan can be the stepping pace, saddle rack, rack, running walk and some do the foxtrot. Some will also trot, but some of us avoid these for our breeding programs. They also should be able to canter. The singlefoot by dicitionary definition is nothing more than another term for the full out rack. Some Gaited Morgan people use the singlefoot for various reasons from meaning the stepping pace out west to they do not know what their horse is doing, but it is smooth--so they say singlefoot.
Price depends on training and who is selling the horse. There is one gaited Morgan will ask $5000 to $6000 more than myself and sometimes they can be full siblings or full siblings in blood. Higher price does not necessarily mean better quality. Typical foal/weanling is priced from $1000 to $5000--again it depends on which breeder and how much one paying more for same quality of horse gives the buyer an ego boost. Yearlings until 3 and not started under saddle will range from $1500 to $5000---price variance more on breeder selling and sometime quality does pay a factor. Most green broke to saddle start at minimum of $2500 for those which may are really green or they have a look which is appealing. Then some will want upwards of $10,000 and the breeder will tell you they have the quality and expertise---but most are selling for $3000 to $6500 for an extremely good looking and well trained horse.
